Who is aaron?

I’m 38 years old, and I am a “Freelance Creative Director” - which is, I think, the best term for what I do.

I like theatre, I like comedy, I like working with cameras & digital media, and I love making people laugh.

I’m not a faceless bot, this isn’t written by AI, I am a human with real thoughts and feelings. Look, there I am. (My hair is probably a different colour by now, though.)

I have worked in tourism, leisure, banking, facilities management, sales, and even a brief stint on a beer tap maintenance helpdesk. (I didn’t enjoy that last one, but the free beer was an undeniably good perk.)

I am now a full-time freelancer in media and marketing, mainly with a theatrical and comedy focus. I enjoy writing: reviews, stories and short films; I’m the Digital Theatre Manager for Original Theatre; I’m also an actor, improviser and stand-up comedian. I was nominated for the Spirit of the Fringe Award at Brighton Fringe 2025, shiny laurel badge below, and BBC Suffolk recently wrote an article about me overcoming anxiety through my comedy.
