Fairground frights 2025
Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach
October Half Term
My fifth year in a row performing at this wonderful event, and my third consecutive year as John Doe, the Hillbilly Rat Hunter - roaming around the park scaring and amusing crowds in equal measure.
This year I bought myself a fancy new prop shotgun for use, which looks a lot more realistic than the one I’ve had in previous years, and it has a loading/firing action too - it was very effective!
I sorted my own costume in full, and went a step further with my hair this year, bleaching it to a horrible yellowy blonde - for easier visibility of the mud and blood effects being added!
I also had a few other little creepy crawly crittery surprises stashed away in my pockets that I could use to freak people out that little bit more when I needed to.
The event this year was bigger than ever before, and it was also the second year in a row that we’ve received a Five Star Review from Thrill Nation - Click Here to read it!
The first gallery features photos from a pair of simply excellent photographers - Luke Martin (first three) and Jaydn Johnson (second three) - click their names to view their portfolios.
And here are some of the photos that I took, or that got sent to me by other people.
